Dr. J. Lee Lehman is the author of eight books on astrology and the former Vice President of Academic Affairs at Kepler College. She taught the history of astrology as well as other subjects. Her own astrological career has involved adapting historical methods to current usage. In this second of the three part history of astrology, Dr. Lehman focuses on the middle period, from the institutionalization of Christianity in the Roman Empire to the beginning of the Enlightenment around 1700.This history is directed toward a listener interested in astrology, preferably with a bit of background in it. However, for those who wish to discover astrology first through its origins, the learning curve should not be steep. The history of astrology winds through many aspects of ancient culture, especially the development of medicine and cosmology.
