From an early age I've always had an interest in all kinds of music. I was a classically trained from the 5th grade to the present as a student of classical guitar, piano, and voice. While being classically trained helped me understand the inner workings of music I still couldn't keep out popular influences that sparked my interest in making my own music. A great variety of artists have all influenced my creativity. Some artists that influenced me a lot in terms of harmony and form are Paul Simon (album:"Graceland"), Bobby McFerrin (album:"Medicine Music") and Eric Clapton (album:"Unplugged"). When I moved to Tempe, AZ in 2005 I had the pleasure of performing and touring with a rock band called The Loveblisters (who currently have albums available for download on iTunes). Not long after I left that band I had a shortly lived conquest in home recording which was mostly centered around Pop, Hip-Hop, and R&B styles. After having performed so many different genres of music throughout my life I found that my favorite was that of a laid back, indie acoustic feel. I listened to a lot of Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Iron and Wine, and The Shins and found my style. It was around this time in 2007 when I wrote and recorded"The Canvas". I plan to release a full length album in the not too distant future.
