In His Grace is an Original Musical Comedy written by Jane Martin Billeaudeaux and John Verly Richard. It premiered at Cite' Des Arts in Lafayette, LA. in 2011 to rave reviews. Jane composed the music and lyrics for all 16 songs. The music was so well received that she decided to produce a CD and, together with the Musical Direction of Glenn Hebert, was able to showcase the songs performed in the play. They gathered up the best talent around Lafayette, LA (including a few Grammy Nominees and Winners) and recorded the CD at Chris Stafford's (Staffland Studios). Needless to say, the result is outstanding! From Blues, Gospel and Rock n Roll to Jazz and Country, each song is unique to each scene and very effective is setting the mood as well as seamlessly moving the story of"Brother Lester" along to it's resolution. Enjoy a musical journey to Ferriday, LA with"Levee River Blues" and down to the Big Easy with"In The Quarter" where the imagery puts you at a street side table at Cafe' du Monde. The featured musicians include Philippe Billeaudeaux, Josef Butts, Danny Devillier, David Egan, Glenn Hebert, Scott Landry, Robert A. & Robert J. The vocalists include original cast members Larry Blount, Jessica LeBlanc Berry, Patsy Bienvenu, Caroline Helm, Chelsea Ellison, Lisa Shannon and Kara Boudreaux. We were particularly fortunate to add the amazing talents of Dana Duhon and Scott Alan Stagg to the mix as well."In His Grace" follows the story of 'Lester', one of three musically talented first cousins from Ferriday, LA., who each chooses his own path to fame."Buck" becomes a Country Western singer and Dance Hall owner."Sonny" becomes a pioneer of Rock n Roll music."Lester" chooses to use his talents to serve the Lord. There is humor as sung by the"Ladies" of"Airline Boulevard", seductiveness in “TheTemptresses", and toe-tappin fun in"Sonny's" Song.
