"After the release of the self titled record in 2004 or so, I became solely focused on production work through my Strategic Sonics brand. Over the last decade there have been ups and downs, and my work in the studio for other artists is ongoing. In that last ten years, I did try a few times to write new music but it ended up being extremely forced. I would usually shelve the work the next day if not later the same day. Ultimately life presents you with situations that appear insurmountable...mental and emotional obstacles and setbacks that you don't know how you will handle or recover from. I had come to a point where I had to make a choice, and my choice was to create this, to awaken something that I hadn't called upon in a long time. This is as true a return to form for me as anything could ever be...it is the absolute most emotionally connected I have been to any creative work I have done ever in my life.
