John and Kelli Stanford are the 38th Street Birds. Their music is written by John, who spent several years as a janitor. It was during his time cleaning, that he was inspired to write most of the tracks on this album,"Fresh, Clean, Fun!" It wasn't his dream job, but he is thankful for the inspiration. Without that job we wouldn't have most of those songs. They have a desire to teach lessons that people will remember for years to come. Since they learn a lot by music, they decided to use their musical abilities to teach valuable lessons. Adults and children alike will find themselves singing the catchy songs from this album. Sometimes the songs even help John and Kelli remember what they should do (Clean up, take responsibility, etc.) Why are they called the 38th Street Birds? They don't live on 38th Street. They named themselves after the birds that hang out on the telephone wires on 38th Street in Rock Island, IL. They like to talk to them and pretend they talk back. (Yes we like to talk to animals) Kelli and John have been playing music since they were about 10 years old. Kelli's main instrument is the viola, and it is featured on 3 of the tracks on"Fresh, Clean, Fun!"
