As a senior and someone who has fought for change my whole life, I understand how remarkable it is to have President Obama in office. Across the board, we're seeing real progress -- job security for millions of poor and middle-class Americans, expanding access to health insurance coverage for up to 7 million African Americans, and record investments in education. No matter who becomes the Republican nominee, we can expect an opponent who wants to undo this president's work.Back in 2008, the election wasn't just about electing one man. It was about changing the guard and the way people are included in politics -- and it only happened because of the hard work of volunteers and supporters around the country. That's why we're getting to work now: to protect what we've achieved and take ownership of what happens in November.
