Several years ago we formed a trio, Zumbido, with violinist Ruthie Dornfeld, specializing in Brazilian music. As the two of us began spending more time together, we found ourselves working up duo versions of both the Brazilian songs we had started with and Jazz standards. Soon the duo sound began to take on a life of its own.We've selected a program of our current favorites in both styles for this recording, songs that chart the course of love and explore different sounds.
