Jess takes the stage in Jem-like fashions, with a voice reminiscent of Blondie and Goldfrapp, while Jeff robotically rocks behind a veritable Death Star of synthetic music-making devices. The photogenic duo load their lyrical cannon with fast cars, fast food, 1-800 numbers and love songs to their synthesizers. To Hyperbubble, guitars are"retro", and sequencers are the key to the future. Hyperbubble's debut CD, SOLID POP is an addictive collection of bionic beats, bouncy synth lines and melodies that stick to the side of your cranium like a tasty wad of Hubba Bubba. Get your hands on some SOLID POP today! Fans of Depeche Mode, Devo, Yello, Fischerspooner, and Ladytron will surely be pleased.__This is very solid pop,..merrily ridiculous...The focus of the group is proudly and unashamedly that of the synth pop era; everything's electronic from the drum beats on up, with the exception of the singing (and even that gets the vocoder treatment every so often). Jess has a perfect voice for the material, wistful and fun at the same time.- Ned Raggett / All Music"Mommy was a toaster / Daddy was a blender," says the lead vocalist of Hyperbubble, known only as Jess, and one can't helpbut be tempted to believe her. Solid, bubbly, straight up spunky synth-pop with pitch perfect female vocals, sans vibrato. It's a fantastic, fun listen — Mike Schiller / Pop MattersTechnology is child's play in the hands of Hyperbubble, The music is innocent and playful while being intelligent enough for listeners of all ages. Jess and Jeff have an electro-magnetic chemistry that is quite evident. Skillfully crafted pop songs fit forthe young and the young at heart.- Corporate MP / ElectrozinePart electronica kitsch and part pop bubblegum, this duo of geniuses turns out a great little disc of danceable grooves andhum-able tunage. Very stylish production and packaging make the disc an instant collectible as well. Give yourself overto their bouncy verve. - Jason Manriquez / Sample Press HYPERBUBBLE OFFICIAL WEBSITE: www.hyperbubble.net
