Hi I'm Lu. I've been singing my heart out since I was five. I started playing the piano at nine, and bought my own baby grand twenty five years later. When I was pregnant with my first child, I sang to him every day. I'd sit in the empty rocker singing about the room we'd soon be sitting in together. I'd imagine the moment we'd meet him and how he'd learn to call this place home. I wanted the world for him. But I also knew the world wasn't always going to embrace him. Over nine months and beyond, my son and many of these songs were born. Five years later, I recorded The Gift of Love: Songs for a Mother's Journey. Now, my baby is thirteen, and rocks the drums like nobody's business. I hope these songs touch your heart and inspire you on your own journey. We're all in this together.
