General:So I'm finally releasing my first album called Embody. This is a very big milestone for me. All the songs I've release before have been mixes, since I didn't know how to master back then. Now I have studied mastering a lot and I have relistened to the tracks over and over a countless amount of times. With the new knowledge, I have improved the mixes and done the mastering for all tracks. It's not perfect and I still got a lot more to learn, but I finally got my first collection of original songs that I now can call complete, which therefore ends my first era, which feels amazing. It also feels good that everything involved in the creation process has been performed solely by me.This album is about learning to handle the tools you need to capture attract ideas in your head and being able to share it with others.Song Choises:There are a lot of B-sides for this album. Some are released on my YouTube channel, and some are still unfinished project files. I wanted to pick songs that are very different from each other, but still have some parts in common. Therefore, there are a lot of songs I like that isn't on the album. It also explains why songs like Lack of Sleep are on the album. This is a really old song from the summer of 2013, written and recorded in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep. It's quite simple and low-fi, but I though it expressed something different than the other songs, which is why it is on album.Sentimental Happiness is the oldest song on the album. It might be from late 2012 and it was made directly in the looper of Line 6 Spider Jam amp, which I later sold (I didn't use that amp for any other songs on the album). The last recorded song is Failure, which is based on a quite old idea. Therefore, the album contains recordings from a timespan of about 2,5 years.Gear:I have mostly used my Fender American Vintage 1962 Reissue Stratocaster. However, I sometimes used my Mexican Fender FSR Telecaster. Running Bunny, Five Shades of Yellow and the outro of Sincere Warmth are some examples. On Lack of Sleep I use my Hagström Swede, which is the only song where I used that guitar. All the acoustic parts were recorded with my only acoustic guitar, the Martin DCX1E. I used my one and only guitar amp Marshall 2554 combo for all the guitars. On the first part of Change I used amp simulators though. I have recorded the vast majority of the songs in Logic Pro X. The others where recorded in Logic Pro 9.Boss DS-2 has been used for all the distorted parts, except for New Phase, where I think I only used the Big Muff Pi USA. I also used MXR dyna comp, MXR Vintage Phase 90 and Moog Moogerfooger Cluster Flux for that song. The chorus effect for Leaf was made with Boss CE-5, where I also used the dyna comp. MXR micro amp was used on Failure. All wah wah parts was made with Ibanez wh10v2. I think I used the Line 6 DL4 for Floyd. That's all the pedals used.
