Electroflux was created by Northwest artist and producer Keith Nemeroff. The group's debut album 'Amalgam' is a collaboration with vocalist Caitlin Hebert. A distillation of several years of iive performance as a four piece band, Amalgam deftly navigates thru several sub-genres of electronic music, including house and synth pop. Nemeroff's jazz and fusion background lend the album a harmonic and melodic sensibility too often lacking in the genre. Compelling guitar grooves and synth hooks abound. Influences such as Bonobo, Tensnake, Portishead and Tycho are apparent.
