Mansfield & Monroe started collaborating in June 2012. Their unique style stems from years of experience and an insatiable love for music. With Doug Mansfield from the DIY Punk Rock Band The Mansfields on guitar and Vince Monroe with years of music experience and classically trained musician on the piano, this duo started out by playing around with old cover songs by Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Stray Cats, Billy Idol, Nat King Cole and many others. With styles like Punk Rock, Rockabilly, Jazz, Swing, Blues and Big Band in common, the duo just stumbled upon this unique style of playing. While both musicians have written many songs, they decided on an all covers album to celebrate the amazing musicians which influenced their playing. With Piano and Guitar as the main focus, they turn all these classic songs into a new and exciting version that is sure to please.
