Monarch Duo's 2nd album again features compositions and performances by nylon string guitarists Cameron Peace & Eli Rosenblatt. Inspired from a variety of musical traditions including klezmer, classical, and latin american, the original compositions were written and arranged with a great amount of care. While the form of the classical guitar duo is familiar to many, the Monarch Duo is unique is that the material is not focused around classical repertoire. Nor is it an effort to authentically recreate any one musical style or tradition. Instead, the various musical influences serve as a springboard for composition and each piece takes on a life of it's own.We hope you find as much enjoyment in listening to"Numina" as we had in creating it.
