Qamil (pronounced"Camille"), is an American vocalist, songwriter, published author,radio host, event musical director and CEO of Soul D**e Entertainment. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Qamil's musical roots run deep as the niece of Norma Jean Wright, the former lead vocalist of the 70s disco and R&B band, Chic.Qamil authored two novels,"Satisfaction" (2010) and its eagerly anticipated follow-up,"More" (2011) and published both under her own company, Legendary Publishing Company. Following the release of her novels, Qamil began to diligently pursue a career in music. She released her debut album, SOUL D**E, on January 1, 2013. Qamil has performed in countless shows and has shared stages with mainstream artists including Neo-soul artist Dwele, R&B artist K Michelle, rappers Styles P & Bushwick Bill.
