Scott Callender is the author/songwriter of Impart the Passion. Scott was born in 1971 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Scott began to take interest in music at a young age. His first piano lessons were with his grandfather at the age of 11. He received more training at Geneva College beginning at the age of 19. This is where he also began a ministry which later came to be known as the Upper Room Fellowship. The goal of this meeting was to truly reach for God through worship and study of God's Word, and to let the Holy Spirit flow as He desired. It was in this ministry that he first began to lead worship. Shortly after, Scott also began to help leading worship with the youth program at Greater Works Outreach full gospel church. He eventually moved on to join the praise and worship team for GWO in 1992, and then was promoted to lead Music Minister from 2000-2004. At around the beginning of the year in 2000, Scott began to feel the stirring of the Holy Spirit to produce praise and worship music. After receiving confirmation about his songwriting, he began to act on what God put inside him. In a very short time, God poured out a host of songs through Scott. These songs are captured in Impart the Passion, which includes 11 powerful songs of praise and worship. In November of 2004 Scott moved on to lead worship at the Assembly of God in McKeesport, PA where he leads worship today. He also travels to churches to minister in song and the prophetic. Scott's new album is titled"God of the Impossible" which is to be released in July 2010.
