For the last decade Kai wrote music with a guitar and notepad by her side, but an Apple computer provided a new means for musical creativity. She began her new exploration in Long Beach, California as producer of The Hat Trix Project, where she integrated poets, musicians, artists, and computer technology. Kai soon took this approach into her own writing, creating a wide array of music that ranges from poetry and short stories to heartfelt ballads. What ties it all together is her trademark voice, which soothes the listener with vocal integrity and peerless vulnerability.
