Steve Vesolich’s first full-length solo CD, “This Continual Fight,” is an acoustic mix of blues, folk, rock, and jazz. Scott Tady from the Beaver County Times wrote, “A compelling acoustic-rock effort with nimble guitar picking, catchy percussion, and thoughtful lyrics. Stylistically rooted somewhere between Jack Johnson — minus the beach vibe — and Over the Rhine.” Spirituality and cynicism both get their say on “This Continual Fight” as Vesolich attempts to look past the trivial matters of life and focus on more important things.”While attending Geneva College, Steve became the lead singer of the rock band Quiver. After they disbanded, Steve formed the folk/rock duo Xara and won AcoustiCafe’s 2003 Singer-Songwriter Competition. He then released his first full-length album, Beggar’s Cup, which contained the single “I Never Feel More Lonely than I Do When You’re Around. Steve’s new CD was recorded at Audible Images and features his wife Lisa Laura Lucci on vocals, his sister, Stephanie Wilsey on vocals and piano, Levi Stahl on drums, Aubrey Strano on cello, and Steve on vocals, guitar, and bass.
