"My Side Of The Fence" - the title track of this CD. Why? Because it seemed to me that we spend far too much time looking across the fence and thinking that the grass is always greener over there. It took me many years to learn that if you do it right, you can make your own side of the fence all you will ever need ... or want. Take for instance the first track on this CD -"That's What Love's About" which makes the point that"love is more than just those words - I love you" - love can be shared with many others when you show them that -"Yes, I care." And then, there are those"Pretty Country Girls" ... There are plenty of them on my side of the fence ... I don't have to look across over yonder to see what's over there."We can"Make This A Better World" is a thought for all of us ... if we try - we can. And, Livin' with our eyes, and our heart, where they belong you too will be able to live life saying ..."I'll Bet My Life On Love." I keep getting the same question about"Never Too Late" - ok - so, yes - I did write it for someone ... but I'm not saying who. Forget it - that would ruin the mystery ... Sometimes life's darkest tragedies have blessed outcomes. If only we will open our hearts to find them ..."My Child, My Child's Child and Me" reminds us that"how you live what comes your way - it's up to you" - in the darkest of times, search for the blessing in the despair. It will help you get through ... it will help you go on. For those lighter times, a"Sense of Humor" is what it takes, and it will get you through. Speaking of a sense of humor,"Harry and the Bear" can't help but leave you with a smile, and maybe even a good old fashioned laugh."I'll Lose My Chance To Try" is for every one of us who wanted to make a move - but for some reason we walked away and didn't do it ... well ... you get the idea - if you snooze, you lose. And - my final confession on this CD reveals it all ..."Cause I Love You." That's the problem with writing songs - sometimes you give away a lot more about yourself than you had planned. Oh well - welcome to my world - on"My Side Of The Fence."
