Fort Worth is a city that supports local Texas artists, and Phoenix was born and raised in Houston and influenced by the Texas sound and tradition. From classical to jazz, pop, rock, and finally country, americana, and red dirt, the Cowboy Funk sound was created over the course of 15 years of calloused fingers sliding across a fretboard for hours at a time. The salty air of the ocean rusting the strings on cruise ship gigs, the smoky air of the casino bars, the crumpled dollars in the tip jar. These little moments add up to big things, and Beer Bottle is one of those things.
