This Liberal Arts: The Musical! album features the cast of the Chicago premiere of the show in Spring of 2012.Created by Alex Higgin-Houser, David Kornfeld, Brendan Siegfried and Laura Stratford, Liberal Arts: the Musical! features vocals by, Sam Button-Harrison, Jonas Davidow, Harrison Gibbons, Chad Michael Innis, Lila Newman, Kristi Parker-Barnhart, Amy Rapp, Andi Sharavsky, Rochelle Therrien, Wesley Dean Tucker and Sierra White. The album also features David Kornfeld on piano/keyboard, Randall Fleer on piano/keyboard, Matthew Ulm on bass guitar, Jerrod Schober on lead guitar, and Jonathan Levitt on Zendrum. Special thanks to Scott Potter.In the show five freshmen and one senior navigate their way through life, love and deconstruction theory at Secular Liberal Arts College (SLAC), only to find that their expensive education has left them flush with student loans and short on, well, “practical experience.” Meet Kevin, Natalie, Brandon, Neil, Sam and Moxie as they delve into “Bromance,” get “Sexiled” and try, once and for all, to figure out the “Derivative of Love.”All proceeds from the sale of this album benefit the Chicago-based non-profit Underscore Theatre Company.
