The Vergence Project is the brain child of Executive Producers Sue Crockett & Phil Marshall, who started writing and producing music together in 2010. The remainder of our team members are not employees, but rather an ever growing network of fellow independent friends & musicians who have each had a special part in creating this music.Executive Producer & 2012 Featured Artist: PHIL MARSHALLAmbergris, The Vergence Projects first release of 2012 was produced by Phil at the YellowDOG studios in Austin TX, a bunch of cool people worked and played on it too.Phil came to Texas just recently and he brought more with him than just a true Yorkshire accent from England; he brings with him skills that have amassed over the years of an unwavering commitment to his art and music, a commitment that has seen him produce many records for himself and others in both England and the United States. The songs captured on these records he performs with fellow musicians right across the country. From L.A. to New York City, from San Antonio Texas to Madison Wisconsin, Down in New Orleans and up in the Rocky Mountains, and then there’s the shows he has put on across Europe, Phil is a true troubadour. The added wisdom that he gained in these travels shows through in his musical and lyrical compositions. The self styled folk/indie/rock singer songwriter is always at the cutting edge of indie music thinking and this was celebrate when his innovative ideas got him digital cover with the Marketing Industries go to magazine ADAGE. Phil has recorded in many locations; most especially he tracked his songs at the home of the Beatles, the famed Abbey Road Studios in London.Seeing Phil play is a must, writing with him? Well that’s just special…(Geoff Fischer)A bit ago someone asked me if I might be interested in doing a co-write, something usually practiced squarely within the realm of the music industry. I had recently auctioned off a song-write at a Charity Event in Washington DC and I discovered there were music listeners and enthusiasts that wanted to do ore than just buy a finished product or go to a show. This someone who asked me to do the co-write had been to a few shows and was blown away, she had played in orchestras when she was younger, but her music and piano playing took a back seat through her personal and professional journey as a Mother and leading OBGYN respectively.It had again become time to create music and work with someone who might get it. This lady is Sue Crockett, and she thought that I might be the guy that got it. Well, I got it.Sue subsequently engaged me to co-write and produce a few songs for her, It has been a blast and I think there are some really great piece that we captured.Everything I do, I do seriously, and this wouldn't be any different. It has been a great movement from what is known in the Industry as Direct To Fan Marketing. I genuinely love working with the audience and the fans, not just in a great show attendance, but in creating and sustaining this art too.
